Claire Chitham was born in Hawkes Bay, New Zealand in November of 1984 and has played a number of different characters both in the small screen and the big screen, most notably in the movie Gilead. She is thirty-one years old and is a British national who was raised in Ashford, Essex. Claire has also been nominated for an OBE (honorary) in 2021 for her portrayal of Tuls Chow in Mulan. Claire has also appeared in a number of TV shows and movies and has garnered a reputation as one of the best character actors in television. Claire Chitham’s career began on the stage in London, where she appeared in several plays before moving onto feature films. She is best known for playing lesbian maid Rose in the musical TV series Something About Mary and as a member of the British Royal Family in Downton Abbey. Her other television appearances include Absolutelyoscope (her first non-Broadway play), Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure as well as King of the Hill. In between these appearances she acted in a number of small independent films and was also a guest star in one episode of the Starz show Star Trek: The Next Generation. She currently lives in New Zealand and continues to work as a writer and producer.
