Casey Moss is a Canadian actor and singer. He is best known for playing the recurring role of JJ Deveraux in the NBC television soap opera Days of Our Lives, which he also sang for. Casey has made several appearances on Broadway as well. He has also guest-starred on several episodes of Law and Order. He was married to actress Jennifer Love Hewitt from 1985 until the couple divorced in 1990. He also has one daughter with former partner Pamela Anderson.
Moss was born in Canada, where his parents were from. His mother was born in Ireland and his father was American. Casey grew up in Southern California, Washington, D.C., and eventually worked as a salesman in San Francisco. He is fluent in both English and French, though he only speaks English fluently. He earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism at the University of San Francisco, a master’s degree in communications at the University of British Columbia, and a doctorate in applied studies at the university of Washington.
Casey Moss was born to immigrants from Jamaica, which is where he first became familiar with acting. He began working with director Frank Capra when he was just out of high school and went on to join several of his former acting teachers in the movies, including Yul Brynner, Peter Bogucki, Walter Matthau, and dean McBrien. He had some minor roles in movies before going onto the stage, most notably in Rebel Without a Cause, where he played the title role opposite Carol Burnett. He went on to play the same character in the Michael Winner film of the same name. Moss currently has a small role in the forthcoming starring Matt Damon and Ben Affleck blockbuster, Kingpin.
