Personal InformationCynthia has been credited by the popular author Mark Zucherberg as having an “out of this world” personality. She has been described as being outgoing, passionate, compassionate, honest, professional, and charismatic. Her official campaign website contains numerous pictures of her with her family, friends, and fellow politicians. Other than her own professional life, Cynthia is not widely known outside of her political circles. While serving as the chair of the Michigan Democratic Party, Cynthia traveled extensively throughout the state of Michigan to visit various high profile corporations and meet with their management teams.

From these trips she gained a wealth of knowledge about public relations and corporate governance, and through these meetings she honed her skills as an expert in dealing with corporate executives and government officials. According to her biographer, Cynthia “rose quickly to respectability in the D.C. and state Democratic committees and was considered for several cabinet positions in the Bush administration.” At the time of her death, her colleagues regarded her as one of the most accomplished female politicians in the country’s history. As an author, she became well known as an advocate for women’s rights, particularly regarding the critical importance of height discrimination for women of color and older adults, in our country’s political and business climates.
