Bruno Mirabelli (Borussia Monchengladbach) – The defender started his year in impressive fashion winning a double of the German Cup and the U17 league championship with Borussia Monchengladbach. He was named in the Bundesliga Team of the Year, was top goal counter-attacking midfielder and made the German U17 league team of the year as well. He has played in the U18 league once. He was also called into the Germany U17 squad in 2008. Mirabelli is currently a professional at Borussia Monchengladbach.
Jasmine Maric (Sebastian Bolzow) – The attacking midfielder was a mainstay of the national youth squads. She was first called into the Bundesliga in November 2015 and made her debut against FC Kiel in September. She was then called into the senior national team for the Euro 2016 qualifiers. She could make her international debut at the 2016 Women’s World Cup in Canada.
Julie Edmonds (Charlton Athletic) – The striker played in the FA Youth Cup in 2015/16 and was also part of Charlton’s U20 team. She was capped in October against Brazil in the U-19 Women’s World Cup.
Tobin Heath (Cambridge University) – The striker scored 13 goals in all competitions in 2014/15, including seven in his first season at Cambridge, as the Bluebirds reached the FA Youth Cup final. However, he did not play much in 2015/16. Heath played for United States at the U-17 World Cup in New Zealand in October 2015, then played at U-20 level with the U-20s with the U.S. U-20s at the U-20 World Cup in Jordan in May 2014. He is currently a professional at Cambridge United.
Alex King (Bournemouth) – The striker scored 21 goals in all competitions for Bournemouth during the 2015/16 season. He made nine substitute appearances for the Cherries’ under-21 team during the same time, and scored twice in a competitive match.
