Born in Rio de Janeiro, Juliana Brizola is a Brazilian National. She grew up in a family of three daughters, all of them born to parents that speak Portuguese and Brazilian Portuguese. Her mother was a talented writer, artist, and painter that taught them both languages. They lived in Brazil for several years, but when her father died in a plane crash during World War II, she moved back to her native Portugal and enrolled in the University of Sargasso. She met her husband while she was studying there and they later got married in 1955.

Juliana was a talented athlete throughout high school, where she became known for being the soccer team’s goalkeeper. She was an All-American goalie on the football team and was even recruited to play college ball at the University of North Carolina, but ultimately chose to enter the modeling career instead. Her career spanned four decades from 1957 until she retired in 1985, which means that she was active in both sportive endeavors and diplomatic work throughout her entire life.

Growing up in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Juliana Brizola never fit the typical image of an attractive young woman, which is common with many of the models that we see today. This is because her career choices did not conform to what many women are expected to look like. Brizola instead pursued a more traditional career as a model and actress, working in films and ad campaigns. However, since her retirement, she has remained relatively popular thanks to her successful marriage to the man she shared her life with, as well as her successful portrayal of a Brazilian character in one of the most beloved works of art of all time. Her accomplishments and achievements have allowed her to enjoy a great variety of opportunities in her later years, including being a contestant on a reality show called The Great Brazilian Baking Show, a spokesmodel for a popular perfume company, and serving as a writer and consultant for various publications.
