Adriana Barraza, who was born in Mexico, is popularly known as “Tintin” in the United States. She has appeared in various popular television shows and movies such as “Guillermo”, “The Perfect Pair”, and “The Dead Zone”. Prior to becoming famous, she was professionally known as “Papasaurina”, or “Dirt Woman”. While growing up, Adriana experienced different forms of harassment because of her height and Latino heritage. As a result of this, she decided at a very young age that she would like to pursue a career in acting.

At the age of twenty-one, she began working with Carlos Santana, an established and well-respected artist, which would help her build upon her already impressive resume. In 2021, she became one of the first Latin American actresses to ever grace the pages of “Playbills”. After several years on the show, she garnered critical acclaim for her performance as “Tintin”, a Mexican schoolteacher who is forced to leave her home due to the violence of a local drug lord. In this role, she also learned English. Throughout the following decade, she went on to feature in several well-known films such as “People vs. Killer Bee”, “Mystic River”, and “Mulan”.

Today, Adriana Barraza resides in New York City. She has been nominated for an array of honors, including an Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role. She was also nominated for a Golden Globe Awards for her work in the film, as well as winning a Screenwriting Oscar for her screenplay for the film. Her resume will ensure that Adriana Barraza remains a fixture in the world of entertainment for years to come.
