As with most things in movies, there are two types of scenes in a movie – the moment of creation and the moment of release. The moment of creation is the most critical section in a movie and it has to be something which the director sees fit from a particular point of view. For the most part, these scenes have to be original creations that have not been seen before and are different enough to make the audience believe in the quality of the movie. The moments of release are created by the producer, then directed and edited by a director. The director must make sure to provide the audience with enough information so that during the moments of release, they believe that the movie is something unique and special; not another remake.
An example of a moment of creation came by way of Ben Kingsley during one of the scenes in Casino Royale. It turned out that Ben Kingsley was brought to Hollywood on a very short notice and not knowing what to expect, his character, Bond, was cast. The moment of creation here is to provide for the audience with a sense of suspense and anticipation and to encourage the actor with a strong performance.
