Beach Volleyball Socks – Not Ready For Prime Time
Beach Volleyball Socks, is like a second skin to many beach goers, most who have gone bare footed have taken them for granted. But those with feet that can not bear a sock, are using them like second skin, almost like a fashion statement. They feel almost like a second skin, almost as if a skin glove has been applied to the bottom of the foot.
However there is a certain line that is blurred where fashion and health intersect, especially where health is concerned. Athletes who practice contact sport in muddy conditions, will wear nylon or cotton beach volleyball socks for comfort and for protection. These would not normally be worn in public, unless they were playing beach volleyball, which involves a lot of walking, sweating, and activity from the front, back and sides. However these same players who wear such protective gear when they play volleyball in smooth conditions, would not necessarily sport a pair of these socks, unless they were playing in the ocean, or on dry land in grass and sunshine.
So it appears that while beach volleyball socks are great for protection and for comfort, they should not be worn when exposed to the elements. If these players were to wear cotton or nylon beach sandals with these socks, they would certainly be at risk of irritation, by having the rubber of the sock rubbing against their skin in adverse conditions. It is for this reason that the sizes offered by this particular article are larger than most other brands. These larger sizes will enable the wearer to wear the socks comfortably, without rubbing against the foot, yet remain fully protected by the elastic in the sock.
