Baggy Jeans – A Fashion Trend From the 1990s

There’s no denying the popularity of baggy jeans. Not only are they comfortable, but they’re also extremely easy to style. In fact, most of the baggy jeans that you see out there were probably inspired by someone’s grandmother… or their mother! The baggy look has been around for decades, and it’s always been popular. But back in the 1990s, fashion made a big return to more classic fashions, and baggy jeans became very popular once again.

The first thing that happened when baggy denim took a big hit in the fashion world was the rise of the skinny jeans. These are the kinds of pants that you’d see hanging on celebs in the ’80s. While baggy jeans still exist, they’re not as widely used as they once were. People were looking for something a little sexier, a little looser, and a lot more flexible. That’s when baggy style clothing began to really take off and people began flocking to boutiques to get their hands on these types of clothes.

Since then, baggy jeans have been enjoying a steady rise in popularity. The trend has continued even further with baggy jackets. As if baggy pants weren’t hot enough, now baggy jackets are too! There are even baggy capris and shorts! No one can really say that trend isn’t here to stay.
