Aurora University was founded in 1977 by Arthur Blank. It is one of the schools on the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NACA). It has three campuses – at the University of Colorado at Boulder, Denver, and across the state line in Aurora. The University also has a professional affiliation with the American Federation of College Degree Recruiters (AFDC) and is associated with the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NASC.) The National Education Association (NEA) is the accrediting body of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCCAS) and is a member of the Association of Independent Colleges and Schools (AICTS) and is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
