Ann Carrington is a famous writer, whose works focus on family, race, nationality, love and sex. Her novelties “Offender” and “The National Teacher” are considered to be amongst the best novels ever written by an American author. Ann has won many awards for her work and has sold millions of copies worldwide. “Age of Promise” which was written with her son Michael is one of her most well-received books. Ann was born in Harlem in New York City and raised there.
Ann was a National Teacher and held several teaching posts in upstate New York and taught at various private schools in the region. She later went on to teach at the prestigious Hampshire College in Massachusetts. Ann Carrington wrote several novels during her life which include “Offender,” “The National Teacher,” “The National Tree,” “Shattered Dreams,” “The Rainbow’s End” and “Age of Promise.” Some of her other novels include “Romeo,” “Lucky for Love,” “A Man For All Time” and “The Missing Man.”
Ann Carrington’s writing is filled with wit and she is a master of characterization. Her plots are realistic yet written in a humorous vein that will appeal to the majority of her readers. Her characters are humorous yet believable. Her plots are original and her characters are brilliantly depicted. “Age of Promise” is the eighteenth book Ann Carrington has ever written and I am sure that I am going to like “The National Teacher” just as much as I enjoyed “The National Teacher.”
