Alice Wetterlund was an American comic who portrayed the character Alice in the television show, The New Adventures of Blue Mountain. She also appeared on the television series Community, as Lauren Ashford. Alice Wetterlund’s career began on the television series Saturday Night Live, where she parodied the character of Princess Leia in a memorable skit. In addition to her appearances on television, Alice Wetterlund has also received critical acclaim for her performance in the film, The Game.

Alice Wetterlund was born in Missouri, the youngest of five children, and grew up in nearby St. Louis. Her early years of writing and performing stand-up comedy were influenced by her love of the Midwest, family, and her desire to be a funny woman. After moving to Los Angeles, Alice Wetterlund pursued a career in acting, appearing in a number of films and commercials. Although Alice Wetterlund is best known for her role as the foul-mouthed character Carla in the movie, Silicon Valley, her professional career has also included parts in films such as Man on the Moon, Bigelow, and Dog Eat Dog. Alice Wetterlund has also been known to perform comedy at small theaters and as a member of a theater company.

Alice Wetterlund’s national exposure came via her appearance on the television series Saturday Night Live. In this role, she plays the comic sidekick to California’s resident blonde-haired beauty, Kate Miclau. On the series, Alice Wetterlund also played bassist for the rock band Queen Latifah. After leaving the show, Wetterqvolk went on to star in the movie version of the Kingpin, as well as several episodes of What’s the Cost.
