Alice Girard is a French publisher and the author of “The Infidelity of Modern Men”. It’s an interesting look at relationships, how they go wrong and who is to blame when one party cheats. She uses the example of a middle aged man with writer tendencies who gets a new girlfriend. The woman he has been dating for years is described as professional and beautiful, but he still cannot resist the charms of her. He then realizes that she is not who he thought she was. There are other intriguing parts of this story as the man slowly realizes what he had been missing out on due to his nationality, his profession, and his love life all playing into this affair.

The author does a good job of describing how this works with Alice Girard’s research and is able to describe many of the details in vivid detail while remaining sensitive to the reader. There were times when I felt I was missing something and even went back to read it again. But overall, this was a fast moving story that kept me interested from start to finish. It was informative, thought-provoking, and even had some humorous moments. Alice Girard has written a very entertaining read that left me wanting to know what happens next.

I’m not sure if I will recommend this book to anyone else, but I will say that it is worth a read for anyone who wants to understand a little bit more about how the workplace can affect relationships. The author makes a point about how sometimes even professional relationship can be affected by social class differences and even how much you enjoy your work, but you still need to be honest. Everyone deserves a second chance and if you do anything like cheat on your significant other, then that is definitely not the path I would recommend to follow. But if you find yourself falling into a similar trap, then maybe this advice will help you get back on track and save your social status.
