She has run for the country at various levels, first for the high school volleyball and then for the university. In 2004, she became the first women’s marathon runner in history, running a full marathon under 2 hours and half. Her overall record since then is 6th out of ten, meaning that she has qualified for the Olympics once, but has not done so since.

Name becomes famous: Alena Abramchuk runs for the Belarusian national team and wears number 34. As a member of the national team, she won the gold in the 2004 European championships. Some people say that her name becomes famous around the world as a result of the fact that she was selected to represent the country at the London Olympics, but this was contested by millions of others.
