Adriana Barraza was born in Chiapas, Mexico, the youngest of four children of Juan de Las Aguilas and Florinda Tapia Rojas. She is best known for playing the title role in the movie, “Amores Perros.” Adriana has English, Spanish, and mixed ancestry.
As an adult, she went on to play various characters in films and theater. Her first major motion picture role was in the film, “Pico,” which came out in 2021. She then appeared in the television series “Heroes” as well as the movie “X Files.” In addition to her acting work, she also became a makeup artist and hairstylist. In order to pursue a career in the motion picture industry, she decided to turn professional by entering Miss Spain, a competition that required the contestant to appear in a Miss Spain pageant. She ultimately won the competition and became a finalist for the Miss Spain title.
Barraza’s next film role was in the drama “Amores Perros,” opposite Clooney, in which she played the main role. She did not receive any acting awards for this film, but many film critics thought it was one of the best films of the year. Barraza then appeared in the films “The Secret” and “Man on the Moon.” Neither of these films received positive reviews from critics, but both of these films did well at the box office.
