Dana Sidi is a renowned Nationality Designer who has been designing clothes and accessories for top industry brands like D&G, Diesel, Prada, Versace, Juicy Couture and other global brands. She has worked with some of the world’s most famous designers and has helped them to create cutting-edge clothing collections that are influenced by women from various cultures, including Arabs, Indians, Chinese, Koreans, grandparents and even children from Borneo. She has also set up her own fashion consultancy in London and Dubai, which she describes as an ‘armchair fashions consultancy’. Ms Sidi’s career path is marked by a perpetual quest for fresh ideas and innovative material. Her latest creations have been worn by celebrities such as Lily Cole, Kate Moss and Elle Macpherson, lending her clothing designs an influential edge on the high street.
The founder of Age Defy Clothing, Dana Sidi has combined her love of fashion with her passion for nationality, a mix that has resulted in some truly unique and eye-catching pieces that she can sell off as individual wear or build into a full line of clothing and accessories for her international clothing line. She started her career as a nanny and translator for the UN, and her love for the language and the culture found her drawn to translating literature from Arabic during the era of peace. This led to her fascination with all things oriental, which was sparked when she attended a language school in Paris. From there, the creative spirit began to take over, and the world was introduced to the many styles and influences of Indian clothing at her first national fashion show at the Saatchi Gallery in London in 2021.
In 2021, she moved to New York and set up shop in the loft of a converted piano bar, where she showcased modern ethnic garments from Pakistan and India alongside traditional attire from Kashmir and Nepal. Her current line of clothes is designed for an increasingly informed consumer who wants to know about the origins of a garment, as well as how it might be worn. Age Defy Clothing has been named by The Guardian as one of the best British brands of ethnic wear this year and continues to impress both customers and designers. With a full line of evening wear and bridal wear now available, the future for Age Defy remains bright indeed.
