The model and actress Adriana Gabriela were born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Her career began when she appeared on one of the most popular soap operas in the 1990’s. For seven seasons, she played the role of an aging, loveable wife and mother who fall out of love with her much younger hubby. She shows the audience the softer side of her character as she ages, but in doing so she maintains her status as a bold, vivacious presence on the small screen. Adriana Gabriela’s impressive acting skills and sultry sensuality soon made her one of the most popular faces in modeling for young adults, as well as a name that many famous faces are associated with.
In the past two decades, Gabriela has been active in politics as she attempted to achieve gender equality in the workplace. As a Hispanic woman, her views on height and ethnicity were considered controversial by some in the business world. However, after becoming a United States citizen, she took an active role in her community by participating in local political activities and running for public office. She served as communications director for the Hispanic National Congress and later worked as communications director for Senator Ted Kennedy’s presidential campaign.
During the final year of her marriage to Jose Gil, Gabriela began receiving death threats from a member of her extended family. When the police informed Gabriela of the threats, she hired an attorney, who successfully argued in court for Gabriela and her son to receive the death benefits she would receive should they ever leave their home country. After being awarded custody of her son, Adriana Gabriela is now beginning to build a successful acting career as an actress, writer, and producer.
