When searching for information on the online dating sites, you may have come across the name Caroline Boykin. She is a well known expert on matters of physical height and nationalities. Height and nationality are a controversial topic; some people will tell you that increasing height is a good thing, while others think it’s a bad thing. I’m going to have a personal opinion on this topic for now; my opinions may not be shared by other experts on the topic so you should use what you learn from her site with caution. If you learn enough about her opinions and experiences to form your own opinion, I’m sure you can make up your own mind.
While talking about height and nationality, one of her books talked about “The Height Paradox.” This book discusses how taller or shorter people tend to date those with a similar height and nationality. According to Boykin, “tallest guys go out with shortest girls, and the tallest women date the shortest men.” While I don’t believe this fact to be true (tops at almost 6 feet, anyway), this does reflect how height and nationalities interact in the dating world. It’s also interesting that she states that “tall” men tend to get into relationships with petite women.
Finally, when talking about her professional experience, she has written, “If you want a serious relationship, put yourself first.” The advice here is a good one; after all, we all want to be our best self. I’ve noticed that the vast majority of professionals I know put themselves first before their partners. My observation of dating has shown that most of us will do whatever we can to be ourselves first, so it stands to reason that being yourself and putting yourself first is a healthy trait. Being and becoming open to others, showing them respect and caring about them, is the best way to build a lasting relationship.
