Adriana Soto is currently the Philippines’ only double Olympic champion pinay, and also the first pinay Olympic athlete to successfully defend her title in over twenty five years. She has also been the recipient of many international awards, most notably the prestigious “Best Female Pinay” award from ABS-CBN’s Most Dangerous Women category. Aside from her exploits on the mat, Adriana has also managed to become one of the Philippines’ most beloved celebrities. Her Filipino and Italian roots do play a significant role in her success, however, she maintains an upbeat attitude and is not hesitant in sharing her Asian roots or her Italian heritage, despite being asked about her Italian-ness. Her personal life is filled with many interesting details, such as her relationship with a former boyfriend and actor, Russell Crow.
