A Red Bull Cliff Diving Series

Adriana Jimenez was born in Escondido, California. She is a National Park District Ranger, a member of the Hiking and Camping Council of Southern California and a Certified Specialist in Emergency Health Services. In her spare time, she is a lifeguard trainer, teacher, counselor and a camp counsellor.

Adriana J maneuvered her way into the National Park Service (NPS) by achieving a high diving score in the summer of 2021. She then became a mentor for young high diving students at Catalina Island’s premier cliff training facility, IFFland. Her methods have since been adopted by other cliff specialists in the United States and beyond. As part of the new wave of young American cliff divers, Adriana has developed a new approach that integrates personal beliefs about being a good teammate into a dynamic system to teach young people how to dive safely and demonstrate competence with their bodies. Adriana’s approach is called Therapeutic Risk Management (TRM), and it has been adopted by many other NPS agencies.

The NPS managed to find a partner in Adriana Jimenez. Together they have started a Red Bull Cliff Diving Series in San Miguel, Mexico, to introduce high diving and camaraderie to new and existing American teams. The first event was held on October 8 and went well. Hopefully there will be more events to be organized by the Red Bull Cliff Diving Team.
