One of the most talented and charming characters from the Narnia series, Lisa Koster is a fictional character created by C.C. Lewis in his book The Lion, the Witch, and the Glass Slipper. This famous author created the lead character, Lisa Koster, a spunky, honest, yet dignified character. A rarity as an American wife and mother, Lisa Koster is described by C.C. as a “fierce defender of her heritage and homeland” who is resourceful and hard working.

As a character in a children’s book, Lisa Koster, was given a new role as a wife and mother in her national bestseller Nationality. Now, instead of writing a children’s book, she’s tasked with writing a book that is critical of marriage and the American society that condones it. This isn’t an easy task. As the author, Lewis is expected to take on the roles of being a racist in the most controversial novel in decades.

Lisa Koster manages to be humorous while still being highly poignant. She tackles age and nationality as she portrays the typical American wife and mother. Although she attacks ageism and racism in the most biting way possible, Koster does not shy away from depicting her husband cheating on her. Although Nationality is not a children’s book, it is a wonderful, humorous novel that every American should read.
