Meghan Tierney is a British snowboarding athlete who has been part of the British national snowboarding team since 1994. She is now a professional snowboarding instructor. Meghan started learning how to ski and ride snowboards when she was very young, but did not excel in the sport as her other friends did. After a brief stint in coaching skiing and snowboarding at college, she decided to pursue a career in sports management in the UK.
Meghan lives in the north of England, which is part of the Highland council area. Her Partner Meghan Tierney is a 33-year-old woman from Glasgow, Scotland. Meghan has played several sports, including basketball and softball, but claims to be a better skier than her Partner Meghan, and has won several medals in both disciplines. Meghan and Partner have been together in the same region of the country since Meghan was 16 years old and won a silver medal in the downhill category at the 1994 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
Meghan and Partner began snowboarding in the late 1990’s, which was not popular in the UK at that time. They soon discovered that their love for the sport translated into strong athleticism, and in the early days they placed second and third at various downhill competitions in the area. Since then, they have made great strides towards making snowboarding in the UK a fun, exciting sport for all ages and abilities. Meghan and Partner have won several events at international events, and Meghan is hoping to win the Olympic gold in skiing this year.
