A Brief Summary of the Life of Adriana Benavides (Part I)

Adriana Benavides is currently married to Richard Benavide. Richard is a US citizen and the parents are originally from Cuba. They have two children named Leonor (born in 1980) and Ariel (born in 1983). Adriana and Richard are originally from the San Antonio region of Texas. Originally, the couple wanted to raise their children in San Antonio but when they were unable to, they moved to Louisiana. They later returned to Texas and opened their second business in San Antonio: Ariel’s Flowers.

Adriana Benavides became famous during her lifetime, because she was the oldest surviving female immigrant to the United States from Cuba. She arrived in San Antonio around 1900, because her sister lived in San Antonio at that time. From her arrival to the present, she is a beloved community figure, well-known throughout Texas. In the past, she was known for being a well-known community figure, having been a member of the San Antonio community and the First Church of Christ Scientist, located on Westheimer Road.

Richard and Adriana were happily married for more than 50 years. Richard was the principal income provider for the family. Adriana was the primary breadwinner. As the years went on, they had three children. They experienced a number of challenges and heartaches in their marriage.
