Alice Stenlf, a Swedish actress and fashion blogger, is famous worldwide for her naturally tall height. From childhood, she has always been tall for her age, which made it hard for her to fit into many kinds of clothing in a small size. She wore big jackets and felt quite awkward when going out with friends. Since last year, Stenlf has been blogging about her life, fashion, beauty and other topics about life and human nature. In November this year, Stenlf got to know and became friends with Bianca Ingrass, and from then the two have been podcasting about their life and romance.
In this interview, I have tried to ask Stenlf questions to get an insight to her character and to what extent she relates to people who are famous for their height. My first question was why she is tall, but she did not really answer it in the interview. Instead, she said that being tall in a country where everyone is like that, it is normal, and she has never had any fears about her height. But as someone in the media, she must be conscious about it, and I asked if she feels any pressure from her profession or public?
Stenlf replied that neither of those worries has ever affected her. Her profession as an actor makes people think that maybe you are not as good as you could be if you are not tall, but she does not feel any sense of that. As for public scrutiny, it’s too much to handle, and she feels that being a public figure will only bring her down. As she has said before, she is happy with her profession. And she admitted that growing up in a country where being tall was a social stigma doesn’t help with her self-confidence.
