Adriana Locke was born in Louisiana. Her parents were both educators and they both had careers before she was a teenager. Her mother was a very good teacher and grew up in New Orleans and her father was a construction worker. Both of them had high honors and she grew up to be a very accomplished student and even earned a doctorate degree.
Adriana has been described as a mildly obsessive compulsive personality by those that know her. Her favorite saying is “I am an unnatural woman, I enjoy being flawed and abnormal in all areas of my life” This is true of her love life as well as most of her characters in her books. In Locke’s case, she spends a large amount of time playing the role of acareful, slightly obsessive boyfriend and girlfriend to several different characters in the series while risking her sanity every day.
Most of her fans are men and some of them simply adore her books. Her fans include former star athletes turned literary writers, her co-writer’s husbands, a few of her former students, and many other people from Hollywood. Her fan base includes more of a niche audience than the millions of readers that read USA Today and New York Times best sellers. Her books have won multiple awards and been turned into movies and TV shows. Her romance novels and the Park series have proven to be very successful.
