Varieties of Compression Sock Aid

The new development relates to an apparatus for quickly applying a compression sock or stocking to the lower leg and calf of the human user. The device features a double layered structure attached through a metal hinge, through which each panel of the dual layered structure provides two attached panels to which the apparatus further includes a compression spring member, tension pads, hooks, gripping pieces, a ball clasp and a hook fastening mechanism. The individual components are then inserted into the sock or stocking in order to provide the much needed compression support.

The compression sock aid is available with a number of different features and configurations. The first option is the compression sock aid with a spring-loaded foot plate. This provides a greater level of support and control for the user than the standard spring loaded foot plates. The second option is a foot-ring attached to the ankle. This is designed to give the wearer added comfort as well as adding a degree of control and support.

The final variation of this type of compression sock aid is the one with a ball closure device at the ankle. The ball closure features a flexible rubber band that latches in place at the ankle. A flexible loop is thereon, through which the toe turns when the foot is bent. The entire device is then placed inside the shoe, over the top of which a Velcro strap is placed to keep it securely in place. The entire system works by means of a tension spring mechanism, thereby allowing the wearer to walk in a relaxed and comfortable manner, without the risk of any injuries taking place.
