In what promises to be a very special winter, the Winter Cycling Stadium will host the world’s biggest cycling race in history. The event promises to be historic, as the world’s greatest cyclists battle it out for glory on the Brands Hatch Grand Prix course. While there is no definite winter fashion line-up to see, it’s almost certain that we’ll see something in the shape of high-tech cycling helmets or snowboard helmets (for the ladies) to compliment the winter clothes options already announced. Of course, snowboarding and skiing also make their annual return.

With Britain having just experienced their bitter cold snap, now seems like a good time to consider how the rest of the world is dealing with their wet weather hangover. While China and the United States seem to have abandoned the idea of wet weather, France and Japan are reportedly hosting winter sports events soon. We should keep our eyes peeled for the upcoming Chinese winter Olympics, but it looks as though other countries are less than happy with the water.

The winter sport of snowboarding has been a recent development, having been introduced to the public a few years ago. It’s perhaps the sport with the most potential for human development, given its ability to relieve stress and help people get fit. Snowboarding is now a multi billion dollar industry and is growing by the day. A new off-road snowboarding stadium is set to open in the Himalayas in 2021. It looks like the world may soon have one of these mega-resorts to call its own.
