One might think that after the end of the school year, fashion trends would slow down a bit. Truth be told though; fashion trends are always changing. One decade ago fashion trends were quite different and perhaps very boring. However, what were the fashion trends in the 1980s? For the most part the styles of clothing were quite conservative and not much was done in terms of style. Fashion during this decade were quite similar to the styles seen during the 1970s fashion.

What were the fashion trends in the 1980s? Well, the style that was worn during the decade were quite similar to the ones seen in the late seventies fashion. Basically there were two types of clothing; the power suit for men, and the super low cut skirt for women. Leggings were also quite popular during this time; as being long, flowing, sleeveless dresses. Although the trend towards what were the most popular colors at this time were tan and pink; there were others such as black, white, and neon.

What were the fashion trends in the 1980s? Well, one trend that was very popular amongst designers was the short-lived but extremely popular style known as the Skinny sweater. This fashion had a very distinct lack of layers and was characterized by large, shapeless, skinny sweater tops paired with large, baggy sweaters or cardigans. The colors chosen for this fashion were black, white, dark blue, and gray. Skinny sweater tops were also favored by designers; these outfits were worn with baggy cardigans or long, loose pants. During this time, designers also started to incorporate large amounts of color into their clothing and experimented with patterns that were not commonly seen prior to this decade.
