Emma Ostilly was born in Brooklyn, New York City and raised in Ireland. She worked as an assistant to several famous designers before she decided to pursue a career in fashion design. After studying interior design at the Academy of Art University, she went on to create her own successful clothing lines, including Dresses by Emma and Just Dress. Today, Emma is associated with both modeling agencies and the fashion brand, Elite Model Management. She has also launched her own perfume, Just Fab.
Music video: “New York Last Year” by Emma Ostilly ft. The Nelly Furtado is another great sing-along track from the latest album by the band, Weezer. The New York based pop star teamed up with well know photographer Terry Richardson for the video. The song has now gone to number one in the UK and new editions of The New York Times and InStyle have included it on their best songs list.
When I was in Christchurch a while ago, I saw a great light show in the park, The Garden lights Up. Emma Ostilly was performing there with The Nelly Furtado and they performed a cover of Weezer’s classic song “Girlfriend. On A Summer’s Day”. This performance reminded me of when I went to the A&P with my partner at about 3am in early hours and we just talked about all the things that had gone wrong over the weekend, which had included some arguments with our minders and I was quite exhausted.
