With the world’s largest Fashion Week in New York City right in the corner, many New Yorkers have been enjoying the benefits of shopping during Fashion Week. NYCD Fashion Week is held every June and showcases the very best in what the fashion world has to offer this season. This internationally-acclaimed fashion event brings together fashion designers, retailers, artisans and celebrities from all walks of life to share their latest trends and styles. Fashion Week events take place across the city with some even taking place in the major Fashion Houses such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus and Macy’s, just to name a few.

Throughout the summer of ’15, the Hamptons experienced a taste of celebrity fashion, with people buzzing around the block wearing Gucci and Dolce & Gabbana bags and listening to top music bands like The Weeknd and Kanye West at the top nightclubs and bars in the Hamptons. During the fall, the Hamptons once again became a hot spot for fashionistas, with local shops opening everyday and offering the hottest looks from both the street-style celebrities and the high-end labels. Celebrities were a regular sight at both Fashion Week events, as well as more intimate outdoor gatherings and parties. NYC Fashion Week was no exception, with many of the city’s finest celebrities attending the event in order to promote their upcoming designs and to demonstrate their latest styles.

Celebrities who were spotted at NYCDF events included: Rachel Bilson, Trace Ayala, Akon, Kimora Lee Simmons and Kate Hudson. Amongst the various looks that were demonstrated at the NYC Fashion Weekends, what drew most attention were the chic “guys” of the line, as many of the ladies sported baggy tees, crew cuts, tracksuits, and cool tees that conveyed their hip-hop and urban styling. A few of the most popular looks for fall included the sophisticated preppy look, which featured jackets, tees and cashmere sweaters worn together with a chunky t-shirt and jeans, as well as a casual jean-clad look that featured faded jeans, a crew-cut shirt, a logo tee and a sports jacket. Other looks for fall included the preppy but stylish vibe that was demonstrated by Jay-Z, Trace Ayala, Akon, Rihanna and Kimora Lee Simmons. However, it was not just the cool styles of the major players that were seen at the shows, as the entire city came out in force to support the brands whose clothing was shown at the NYC Fashion Week events, including some of the lesser known labels and brands who had previously held events in other cities.
