Nova Fashion is a big US-based, fast fashion retailer. The company works online as well as having five physical stores. The business is particularly known to utilize Instagram to gain social media exposure for its clothes by interacting directly with users and creating publicity through a mixture of celebrities, models, and other consumers. This retailer also lets its customers create their own look on the website so that they can share what they have in fashion with others. The website also allows customers to search for items by price range, color, size, designer, and location.
This fashion retailer joins the growing list of retailers that have launched Instagram accounts. In September it joined Instgram, one of the most popular and fastest growing social media networks for businesses and brands. The move comes at a time when other major players in the fashion industry are following suit. Other brands such as Burberry, Diesel, Coach, Guess, Juicy Couture, and others have all created Instagram accounts to connect with customers on a more personal level.
Beyond connecting with customers, Nova hopes that Instagram will help it gain more sales through its Los Angeles store. Its Instagram account for women’s clothing features several recreations of its most popular products. For example, one recreation shows a woman wearing a Longchamp Le Pliage Trousers in a plum hue with a long scarf covering her neck. The leggings come in sizes small through four and are sold in numerous colorways.
Another recreation shows off the brand’s floral print t-shirt. The t-shirt comes in vivid colors including magenta, lime green, pink, orange, yellow, maroon, and white. The floral design is part of the brand’s ongoing effort to create more eco-friendly products. Many of the planet-friendly fabrics used by Nova were first discovered in the company’s production facilities in India.
Influencers on Nova have also been busy trying to join the growing trend of Instagram marketing. Dozens of Hollywood celebrities, hip hop artists, models, and athletes have included their own Instagram accounts in hopes to increase their presence. The best way to market through Instagram, experts say, is to take full advantage of the platform’s “likes” and “reposts.” Liked posts are recommended and will likely increase the traffic to a brand’s page. “REPS” are more likely to show up on the search engine results pages. Instagram users can also request their favorite images are posted by other fans.
Fashion nova’s Los Angeles store continues to work with influencers on a regular basis. Influencers have the ability to add links directly to their pages, which helps increase their exposure. Influencers with large followings can even receive text updates from the store’s account. In early 2021, the company plans to roll out several new products that will continue to increase the company’s presence in the fast fashion industry.
The next month, the fashion brand will introduce three new fall collections. One of the collections will be featured in the fall issue of L’officiel. Other new additions include a line of sportswear inspired by the company’s collaboration with Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton and his jersey. Hamilton is featured as an ambassador for the brand’s sportswear division. The hard buns clothing line is also part of the brand’s fashion line-a move that has been criticized by some for appearing out of place in the midst of the fashion world.
However, the biggest shake-up coming to Nova was the news that the company would be teaming up with ZZippo Manufacturing, a small Los Angeles based fashion house that specializes in crafting unique leather bags. The collaboration promises to take “nova chic” to new levels, turning it into a mainstream fashion trend. While details about the partnership are still scarce, we do know that the company plans to create eight new short styles for fall. The first two, entitled Zippo and Serengeti, will debut in fall 2021. Other styles to come will include boot, purse, wallet, briefcase, outerwear, and slipper. No details have yet been released for the other collections, but we will find out soon enough.
