1960s Male Fashion Trends
The 60’s male fashion trends would include short shorts, tight-fitting pants, and faded denims. Ties would be an integral part of the look as well. They were usually very large, with a wide ribbon or bow on them. You can even find ties being made out of beads, laces and plastic with rhinestones on them. The color of the tie would be the same as your shirt.
Shoes in the 1960s would also include sneakers, sandals, and clogs. Men would also have a wide selection of neckties to choose from. You can choose anything from plain to bold patterns, solid to striped, and everything in between. Hats are very popular for the 60’s era as well. You can have a bow or plaid tie, or a simple skullcap. Men’s hair would also be in another popular color.
1960s fashion was defined by bright colors, vibrant patterns, and very simple elegance. Although there were no dresses meant for a wedding, they were available in one piece for everyday use. No longer would men be seen in suits or ball jackets. They would wear a shirt and a tie, with or without a jacket. It all represented change and progress, with comfort and ease becoming main staples of the new fashion era.
