One of the most important aspects of a fashion show is its 1960’s fashion trends. This was a very vital time in a fashion which saw the introduction of new and exciting fashions that would change the way people dress for the better. People such as Jackie Onasis, ienne Bonnet, Richard Nixon and John Lennon were all part of the 60’s fashion revolution. Here we take a look at some of the more popular trends that were around at this time.

The colour black was always going to be a popular choice but it was something which was only worn in certain situations. At this time you would see it in suits and in the early 1960s it began to fade out of many clothing styles. Black became associated with certain organisations such as the CIA and also the FBI. It was very rare to see a man wearing black at this time and even if a person did there was usually something about it which indicated to be a secret agent.

Silk was also used to a degree during this period and whilst it was not a very popular material it was certainly useful and looked extremely elegant. Cotton fabrics were also quite popular as they were a lot more comfortable to wear and also easier to clean. In terms of pants, trousers were made out of all different fabrics but the most common was cotton blends. Trousers became a necessity rather than an accessory and they were far more stylish than they were at any other time in history.
