Fashion Trends for Fall Winter 2021

Fall is the season for fashion trends, and for good reason: it is the one time of the year when every fashion house, shop, clothing stores, and the malls are getting into the act with all their products and marketing campaigns. However, it can also be said that this is the most difficult season for fashion because everything must cool down at the same time: from Spring’s abundance of flowers, green plants, and beautifully manicured lawns to Fall’s abundance of nuts, pumpkins, apples, squash, and even cranberries, to Fall’s abundance of meats, produce, and fruits. The days of abundant decoration and excess are long gone; the focus now is on keeping everything balanced and functional. This means that there will be a minimal amount of new fashion lines in stores and that the ones that will be introduced won’t have much to do with the latest trends, but will more likely focus on practicality and durability. So what are the top fashion trends for Fall?

Color: As fall becomes the most color-focused season of the year, expect to see more of the year’s hottest fashion colors being worn. Rich burgundy is a staple in many autumn ensembles, as is chocolate brown. Expect to also see a lot of orange and yellow in myriad combinations. Don’t be afraid to use the dark shades as they tend to be less overused than the brighter hues, which will definitely be more popular in the coming years. One trend that is here to stay though: denim.

Accessories: The accessories are probably going to be the most visually interesting aspect of the whole collection, and they will be especially noticed in the fall months. Leather jackets and belts are out this year, and if you’re into belts, you’ll be happy to know that there are a lot of new belt styles to choose from: thick leather, thin leather, flat leather, and even zebra leather. What also makes accessories interesting is the new use of embellishments: jewelries, stones, and sequins are taking a place alongside beads and lace. You may also want to consider bringing back the beaded necklaces that you wore all through college: although they are a bit rare now, they will never go out of style.
