Getting Access to Fashion Trending on Facebook

What is Fashion Hashtags? Are they somehow related to the new Facebook Trending System that allows users of Facebook to “trend” topics in a similar way as Twitter does? The answer, by the way, is no. While it’s possible for a Facebook user to search for a particular item or tag on Facebook, nothing happens when that user goes back to search for more information. Users have to keep searching for things in order to get the latest scoop on what is trending, and tagging is just one of the ways people do this.

So how does it work? When you use a certain piece of clothing, for example, you can put the brand, model name, or style number into Facebook’s Trending Tool. This tool will then show up in your news feed every time something you post in your own Facebook page coincides with that same item. So, for instance, if you happen to like a particular Miley Cyrus clip, you can search for something about her on Facebook, and that video will show up in your news feed, along with lots of other items and links that are relevant to what you’re looking for. You might have to look carefully at the original source in order to find it, but that is the best way to find out what’s going on in the world of fashion on Facebook right now.

The only problem with this is that many fashion-oriented pages are not included in the Trending Tool. This includes many celebrities, pop stars, reality TV shows, and so forth. This limits the effectiveness, and novelty, of the feature, and many people are simply annoyed by this, to the point of removing the tool from their pages. However, as time goes on, more of these items will appear in Trending news feeds, and fashion fans will surely welcome the arrival of this exciting new feature in their favorite social networking site. At the very least, it gives them an easier (and faster) way to stay up to date on what’s hot and what’s not, when it comes to fashion. It’s something that everyone who owns a smartphone can use, no matter what kind of social network they use.
