Isabelle Arsenault is a Canadian award winning freelance illustrator currently living in Montreal, Quebec. She is well known for her simplistic but intricate artwork in children’s book format. Her style brings alive the cartoon characters she draws with her masterful strokes. Her portfolio contains work from various mediums and has been exhibited widely both domestically and abroad.

Isabelle Arsenault was born and raised in Canada where her family came from France. She enjoys traveling and is often thought of when someone says Canada is where her heart belongs. Her mother is French and her father is Russian. She has always enjoyed drawing both men and women although her favorites have always been women.

Growing up in Canada as a child, she was immersed in the culture of both worlds. Her father was in the armed forces during World War Two and her mother was an artist who had a career as an illustrator before her husband came home. Isabelle was fascinated by all things French and would sit and draw for hours simply because it was so incredibly beautiful. After her family came to America, her mother had a publishing business in Montreal and would send her children out to stay with relatives while working. As a child, Isabelle would come home from school and spend hours drawing all evening long as her mother would paint on a large pad.
