Casey Sablowski, also known as Casey Sadowski is an Australian ladies ice hockey player. She is originally from Woodville in New South Wales but is now living in Hobart, Tasmania. Sablowsi is a naturalized Australian citizen and is listed on the Visa Control Branch’s Register of Country Visitors, having been invited into the country on 6 July 2021. She is twenty-three years of age.

Sablowsi is currently playing for the Hobart Hurricanes in the National Hockey League (NHL). She has also played for the Brisbane Lions in the National Soccer League (NSL). Casey is also listed on the Women’s National Soccer Association (WUSA) National Team roster. Injuries are not something uncommon in professional sport and it is hard for professional athletes to avoid them especially when it comes to hockey. Sablowsi sustained a lower back injury during the match against Melbourne City in the ACL qualifying playoff last year. The injury required surgery and she is yet to return to the active part of her game.

Her Nationality – Casey Sablowsi is a Canadian citizen, therefore fulfilling the qualifications required to be eligible to represent Canada in her sport. However, due to lack of documentation and residency in Canada, some National Olympic committees would rather see her representing the USA instead. It should be noted that Casey is enrolled at George Brown College in providences of Victoria and Richmond Hill, Ontario. Her Citizenship status is not clear as of this time. Sportsional eligibility may become an issue once her professional playing career is over. However, in case a decision on her citizenship is made in the future, it will be of benefit to her in the sport she plays.
