The National Screen Association (NSAA) presented Casey Rene with a Special Achievement Award at their 2021 annual honors dinner. Casey is currently promoting the independent film “The Insider” as a producer and he also has credits to his credit that include: producing “Man on the Moon” and “Gran Torino.” As an actor, Casey has appeared in such films as “Million Dollar Baby,” “Love Actually,” and “End of Watch.” As an entertainer, he has been a featured artist at the MTV Europe Music Awards and the Satellite Awards.
It should be noted that Casey is British, however he has used that nationality as part of his marketing for his acting career. He has tried to market himself and his acting chops outside of Britain by traveling to the United States numerous times. Some of his more recent ventures include having a talk show on the Global Breakfast Show and traveling to Australia to perform at the MTV European Music Awards.
Rene is not the only tall British actor to have had a storied career. Michael Caine is also 6ft 6in and he is one of the best known British actors in the world today. Caine was nominated for an Academy Award for his performance in “A Bridge In The River.” It should be noted that Caine is much shorter than Casey Rene but is just as successful in his career. Rene, on the other hand, is a much bigger name so will likely star in more films in the future as his star continues to grow.
