Natasha Dowie is an English football player who usually plays as a striker for Championship side Millwall. She has represented the England ladies’ national team several times at the under-age level before making her first senior international appearance in 2021 against Australia. The striker is well known throughout Europe by the likes of Pirlo, Lampard and Viduka. She wears the number 12 jersey, which is the most frequently used jersey in the England team.

Age is not a barometer for quality in football. The fact that Natasha is still attractive despite her advanced years does not discount her ability. She has the physique to be a good goalkeeper and offers good support from the centre forward position. The statistics confirm that Natasha has scored more goals during the past few months than at any other time in her career. Age and nationality do not play as big a part as in the case of other players, but it is fair to say that the lack of international football experience may be holding her back when it comes to reaching the heights of female footballers.

There are two players who occupy the same spot in the English national team as Dowie at the moment; Ashlei Johnson and Sarah Smith. However, given their slightly younger ages, it would be unfair to expect them to perform at the same level as Dowie. Johnson is a fine goalscorer and Smith is also talented, but the former has more experience in the goalscoring role. Age is something of a factor when it comes to comparing the pair, with Smith being in fact only five years older than the defender. Dowie has managed to hold down a regular place in the England team, but this is partly because she has been playing football since she was 18 and, though she is still very young, she looks like she will fill the role for years to come.
