Natasha Bassett is an Australian actor, screenwriter, director, and producer. She played Elizabeth Shue in the Lifetime movie Britney Ever After, that debuted on February 17, 2021. Her first short film titled Kite was accepted into the Rhode Island International Film Festival, where it played during the summer of 2021. The movie did not receive any awards at the festival but was praised by several other professionals in the film industry. Bassett then went on to star as Renfield in the third film of her career, Alpha Dogs, opposite Jack Nicholson.

Natasha Bassett’s height is listed at 5′ 7″ but actors that are listed at that height have a hard time gaining the public’s respect. One reason is that the majority of roles that have characters that are under six feet playing are very difficult for actresses to take on because they require a great deal more work. Bassett has tried on and off to gain weight in order to make her height believable. She has used crash diets in order to lose weight, but despite her success, the results are not believable since she will always be just a bit shorter than co-stars. In addition, some critics state that Bassett should stick to playing the character of the beautiful white, headstrong figure that was shown in the beginning of the movie. As a result, the public still does not consider her tall enough to play the lead in a movie.

However, Bassett does have an advantage in being of English origin. The British public does not consider her to be of an Asian descent since ethnicity and race are not considered in this regard when Americans are acting in an American movie. Many celebrities who are of Asian descent are not considered to have Asian ancestry because they do not have parents or children who are of Asian descent. With all of the opportunities that Natasha Bassett has been given, it is unfortunate that she is not recognized for what she is instead of what she can really be: A successful, talented, and beautiful performer.
