Natasha Calis was born in southern France. She is of Greek and Samoan descent and has been playing characters of this nationality since her early years. Growing up in Southern France, where most of her ancestors come from, she developed a strong interest in acting, and by her early teens was making quite an impression on her theatre teachers. After getting a degree in drama at college in Grenoble, Calis then landed herself roles in television shows that were sent to French shores. Her first major role was a part of the Canadian series Le Diable Destinies as female pirate.
Nowadays, Natasha Calis appears to be enjoying a more important role in Hollywood, playing the latest incarnations of evil villains in both the Marvel comics and the DC comics universe. She appeared as the Queen of Helix in the X-Men series, and in the animated movie Dark Angel. Additionally, she has also played a number of supporting characters and recurring appearances in the animated TV series Alias, Family Guy, The Suite Life of roommates, and Supernatural, among others. Her Height Magazines profiles lists her height as 6′ 4″ in shoes, but other sources indicate that the actual figure may be closer to 5′ 7″.
The first year of working in Hollywood was marked by a break with the Harry Potter franchise, and it was not long before she was cast in the lead role in a sci-fi movie called Angels Fall alongside Sienna Guillory. From there, she went on to play the evil Queen Medusa in the second season of the smash hit TV show True Blood, and then broke the heart of fans when she was cast as a love interest for Billions Dollars Bride in the blockbuster movie of the same name. Recently, Natasha Calis has appeared in some episodes of The Mentalist, though it’s unclear whether or not she will continue to appear on the series. Regardless, her experience on the TV shows and in films, particularly True Blood, has given her quite a bit of weight, which is beginning to show on her frame. However, her good looks are not the only reason that people are lining up to get a chance with Natalya; her talent as a martial arts expert and her excellent physique are her major assets when it comes to fighting fit.
