Nationality and Partner Database – A Review

The Nationality and Partner database created by Noemi Bosch is an interesting tool. Unlike most of the databases online, Noemi Bosch’s site is created by a woman for every woman who may be searching for information on their nationality or their partner. There are categories for height, age, profession, and even marital status. Noemi is the founder of the site and continues to maintain it today. With the high number of categories, it is easy to search for information you need on a person with that particular criteria.

Noemi uses a system of categorization called “rootedness” in order to group people into separate categories. For example, if one woman wanted to find out if her partner was of nationality German and she herself was not of German descent, then she would be grouped into one of four root categories: German, Austrian, French, or Czech. Within each root category, there are subcategories such as: German American, Jewish, Korean, Chinese, Indian, British, Polish, and so on. When one looks at one’s own profile, one can see at a glance exactly what sort of nationality one might be if they were trying to find a partner of another race or nationality.

In addition to the general information above, Noemi Bosch has put together a wonderful photo gallery of herself and other members of her ethnic German and Austrian families. Viewing the photos allows one to get a better feel for the relationship that she describes in her book. One may even shed a light on the possibility of finding a lifelong partner of another race if one’s expectations are raised beyond the base of ethnicity. This book can serve as a guide for future interracial relationships. One can look forward to many successful relationships in the future that embrace different races and nationalities. Noemi Bosch’s work can be downloaded from the website and read with pleasure.
