The Greatest 80s Fashion Trends

One of the most recognizable trends from the decade was the “tennis sweater”, a staple in many sporting and casual ensembles. It was popular with both men and women and is now a part of virtually every wardrobe. One of the great things about the tennis sweater is that it can be worn year round and for many different looks, depending on the season. You can layer your sweaters with a few denim shorts or with a silk shirt and tie for a more formal look or dress up your basic tee time with a cardigan and jumper in neutral colors.

Another trend which never really went out of style is the brightly colored tracksuits. These colorful garments were very popular with skateboarders during the time and they still are today. They complemented the bright colors and gave the look of being on a skateboard. There were also the hip hop and rap crowd who absolutely adored these bright hues. The only real problem with them was that you had to always have some sun cream with you because the bright colors would fade quickly. Other than that they were a very cool looking fashion accessory.

Another one of the more fashionable trends from the 80s was the short hair style. This is the kind of hair style that fall just around the ears, and they are shorter than your normal hairstyle. They are perfect for the summer months and if you want to wear something different in the winter, you could wear a short hairdo too. No matter what you decide to do with your hair style, it will be a great fashion trend for the seasons to come.
