Kate Voegele was born in Louisiana but was raised in California. Her given name, Kate Voegele, is a tribute to the singer who she has always perceived as having a French accent. Her personal height is 5′ 9″, though other sources suggest that she may actually be taller than the real Kate Voegele. She is reported by some to be a nationality, because of her long brown hair, however this is not verified.
Voegele’s real name is Kate Winnick, which she got when she married in 1998, after she divorced her first husband, Robert Taggart. Voegele had always maintained that she was half Spanish, half French, though her exact ethnic background is unknown. However, there is some evidence to suggest that she may be related to an Italian family, because of her surname, Bonaparte. Her mother was a Catholic, as was her father, Robert, who was a Unitarian minister. Kate’s paternal grandmother was a Maltese woman of Italian origin, and her ancestry is therefore mostly Italian.
