Isabel Mhchopp is known for her tall figure and was a good student throughout her schooling. She eventually became a nurse in South Africa under the guidance of Dr. Emmett Spencer Smith, before she later decided to pursue a career in acting. However, her path was not easy as her first acting experience was a very frustrating one, as she failed several times at a role in front of the camera, which resulted in her being cast aside. She soon became disenchanted with the entire process and only tried to take up acting again after failing a role in Africa, which was playing a desperate nurse in a very small English clinic. After this, she had some success in appearing in small movies that were not exactly huge hits, such as Dog to Be Anyway and Get Him to the Cure. Despite the fact that her acting abilities never developed to their full potential, there are various reasons as to why Mhchopp eventually became a successful actress in her own right.

First, it should be mentioned that Isabel Mhchopp was actually born in Ghana, but since her parents wanted her to be an African by birth, they made her move to Cape Town and from there on to Johannesburg where she pursued her acting career. This is because of the fact that she has a very tall height and naturally became quite adept at using the height advantage in order to get into certain types of films that are normally not so open to those with average heights. She appeared in one of the more upscale dramas in the early part of her career, called The Secrets of buried treasure, and also did a small role in the well-received and critically acclaimed Kung Mangai film. After that, she became interested in plays centered on young women and as a result continued to work on plays that showcased a young African woman’s life. However, it should be noted that all of her films were directed by the likes of Michael Caine.

Second, while her height did not prevent her from becoming a very successful actress in her own right, it might have been considered a handicap in the beginning. There are many people who consider being short as something that interferes with being able to shine professionally and therefore this might have been one of the reasons for her to turn down various opportunities. In any case, she has managed to make her mark and made a name for herself in both the theater and in films, making an impact that far transcended her height. This is probably one of the reasons why this incredibly versatile performer continues to be seen and remembered by millions of people around the world.
