Marianna Yurkiewicz is an artist, writer, and teacher with over twenty years of experience in the field of personal and corporate development. Her works focus on leadership, self-leadership, and community development. She is a nationally recognized leader and speaker who highlight women’s empowerment, cultural competence, and diversity. Her works are showcased at the prestigious publisher imprints including Scholastic, Crown, Rizzoli, and Jove. She lives in New York City and currently works as a consultant with corporate and leadership training firms in the New York area.

In her early years as a teacher, Yurkiewicz helped start the Women in Management Program at Hunter College and taught leadership at DeVry University. After that she served as a professor at the John K. Henry School of Nursing at Farmingdale College in upstate New York. Her most recent studies have been focused on integrating technology with business practice and strategy development for non-profit organizations. Her studies have been highly successful in providing students with a solid background in management theory, application, and applied business skills.

Marianna Yurkiewicz has been named a” Publisher’s Man of the Year” three times, “Publisher’s Women of the Year” twice, and a “Breakout Star” once. She is a recipient of the fellowships for the study of leadership in the arts and sciences from the XYZ Foundation, the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the Academy of General Arts and Sciences, the Theatre Communications Association of America, and the National Association of Theatre Assistants. She is currently working with a national network of women entrepreneurs as a partner at the New York Network for Women in Business. In addition, she serves on the boards of several companies, including the TKTSK Corporation and is active on the boards of the American Museum of Natural History and the Science Museum of Virginia.
