Sandra Cucarano was born in Peru and raised in Uruguay. She was a young woman who excelled in both academics and sports at a very young age, including soccer, tennis, swimming, track and field, and volleyball. It is said that Cucarano excelled in all sports at such a young age because her parents forced her to keep up with the competition, even when she became physically disabled due to rheumatoid arthritis. Cucarano’s dedication to her craft and love for the game led her to become a national level tennis player at the age of 24.

Cucarano’s dedication to her profession and her personal life also brought obstacles for her marriage. After losing a significant weight, Sandra Cucarano found it difficult to maintain a committed relationship with her husband. It was even more difficult when her husband left her for another woman. In addition to the marital obstacles, Cucarano had to contend with various personal problems, including a long and painful divorce. This difficult situation further compounded Cucarano’s lack of patience with her marriage, as well as her lack of interest in maintaining a professional relationship with her husband.

Ultimately, Cucarano decided to separate from her husband and seek fulfillment of her desires by finding fulfillment with a man who shared many of her interests, such as sailing, hiking, and skiing. Unfortunately, when Sandra Cucarano and her husband separated, she lost her passport and ability to travel abroad. It was at this time that Sandra began receiving death threats and was even hospitalized once because of an unidentified “assailant.” Despite all of these difficulties, Cucarano still wanted to renew her marriage and desired the same legal status that would allow her to travel abroad. Unfortunately, this meant that she would have to renounce her citizenship so as to gain a passport and travel abroad.
