The Nationality, the profession and the Height have been the main elements that define Adriana Chia. Born in Spain, the Nationality has always fascinated art enthusiasts across the globe. The dancer Adriana Chia was recently launched a new restaurant, Antigua Compa de Las Indias at Barcelona inspired by this era of European colonial trade. A native of Ovilla, a coastal city in the Malaga province, the dancer started her career as a ballerina at the age of 19. She then spent two years in Milan, where she studied ballet before taking up one year of teaching at the prestigious Ballet School in Madrid.

Nowadays, Adriana Chia continues to make a name for herself as a professional artist, choreographer and dancer. Her works are designed specifically for both men and women and are widely acclaimed for their modern aesthetic appeal. Her work often incorporates elements from traditional Spanish culture while incorporating modern elements such as bold patterns, vibrant colours and unique brush strokes. Her most striking feature is her use of a dark, metallic tinge throughout the design of her outfits and footwear. Her use of rich fabrics and luxurious finishes has earned her many awards and accolades.

Born in Ovilla, the Nationality is represented by four stars on the International Dance Federation (IDF) charts. This achievement places her in the company of some very proud names in Spain, such as Losada, Raiberto and the former world number one, Carolina Perrin. Her impressive CV has earned her a place as a member of the prestigious Dance Masters International (DMA), an internationally recognised dance teachers’ organisation, as well as being short-listed for the prestigious International Dance Festival (IDF) in New York. Her many accolades include winning over 200 titles worldwide, as well as being the first female choreographer to ever feature on the prestigious Academy Award winning shortlist.
