Howdy Ladies, Are You Dreaming Or Living Like a Virgin?

When we meet Sofia Solares, the first thing that registers in my mind is the picture of an aged and scarred woman who looks like she has been in the hell. I am told that her face is scarred and bruised from many of the abuses that she has suffered at the hands of men who are deformed, disfigured, or simply not her own class. I am told that Sofia Solares was born in Brazil and that she was married off to a well to do man who worked in New York City and was very abusive as a family. She was given three children who all ended up dead before her husband returned home. When he did come back, he beat her to death with a baseball bat that was given to her by one of her children as a gift.

So then, I suppose you can imagine what kind of life this poor lady must have lived. Her mother raised her by her mother told her that she would be a doctor or a lawyer, which was what Sofia excelled at as a young woman and that got her into politics after graduation. However, when we meet Sofia Solares, she seems to have forgotten about the political career that she might have had but for someone to die trying to serve her country it seems like such a waste. So then, is Sofia Solares a dream to be or a nightmare?

The answer is both, although I think that Sofia Solares is worse than a bad liar because no one seems to ask her questions. She cannot hide her emotions and you cannot pin-point what exactly she is thinking and feeling. She may look like a broken person inside but inside she is a strong and healthy young woman who still love her mother, her family, and the country.
