Aida Azrin belongs to the family of Oriental Physicians. Aida is described by her place of birth as “Maldor”, which according to some sources is located in Iran, but according to others it is situated in Spain. She studied medicine in Turkey before immigrating to Israel and became a citizen of that country. In a famous book written by Dr. Isaac Neider, she is described as an Oriental medicine specialist.

According to the same book, Aida Azrin was known for her long hair and beautiful complexion. Her physical description was very similar to another individual described by Dr. Moshe Azrin as the Oriental physician who lived in Jerusalem some time ago. Although Aida Azrin has been reported to be 6 feet tall, she was not taller than the average person at that time. She weighed around 170 pounds and was about twenty-five years old when she died. She was also reported to have suffered from heart ailments and diabetes and was diagnosed as a degenerative bone disease.

According to Dr. Azrin’s grave records, which were found in Israel, she was listed as a civilian soldier during the war of Independence. The records state that Aida Azrin was a member of the Irgun, the military wing of the Hebrew Labor movement. After the war was over, Aida Azrin began working as an assistant to Yitzhak ben David, the leader of the Stern Gang. However, according to Moshe Weintraub, Aida Azrin changed her name and became Yitzhak ben David.
